Part of the Kotamayu series.
"What... What's happened to you?" Cradle gasped; looking at her husband breathing heavily beneath a stone mask.
His eye was shining with tears, as he looked at the woman he loved, feeling nothing but his own shame.
"I killed them." the demonic voice echoed. Hot steam erupted from the cracks in his face as he spoke; like some horrible machine.
Cradle stuttered with a response - nothing came out but forced noises. She looked at his face, as stone clawed its way up to conceal him completely. She didn't know if she should stop it... even could stop it.... or let it consume him.
Cradle fell to her side, and curled up with an arm over her head. She couldn't handle this. There was nothing she could do. She couldn't even cry.
If he was willing to kill his friends; there was no telling what Carsus would do next.
